The Big Latch On

Wellington mothers joined mothers all around the world on Friday to take part in the ‘Big Latch’, kick-starting world breastfeeding awareness week.

The 26 women fed their babies simultaneously in public at Te Papa.

The annual event which originated in New Zealand, sees women meet in small groups all around the world to breastfeed their babies.

Esther who was attending the latch on for the first time, says breast feeding is the best way to nourish your baby.
