Almost anyone can make a name for themselves online, but not many get the chance to party with 2,000 models and some of music’s biggest names.

The man known as “Dancing Man” went viral after two images of him dancing were posted on the popular online message-board 4chan in February. An user “body-shamed” the man with the caption: “Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.”

The post was then shared on Imgur and triggered viral outcry from all corners of social media, with some calling the images cruel and horrifying.

The man was later identified as Sean O’Brien from London.

Before being identified, O’Brien was nicknamed “Dancing Man”.  A Twitter hunt was launched by Cassandra Fairbanks from California. She Tweeted:

Since he was found, some of the world’s biggest artists have offered to perform at the party hosted by over 2,000 models in Los Angeles. Pharrell Williams, Moby and Ellie Goulding have rallied together to perform at the bash, all agreeing O’Brien shouldn’t be ashamed of himself or his dancing.

A GoFundMe account was created to raise $20,000 to fly O’Brien to the States, and all other donations will be given to charity.

Update: the account has now raised $39,784.
