The Apple Watch will land on New Zealand shores on July 31.
Retail store Noel Leeming has secured the rights to be the only bricks and mortar store to sell the much-hyped technology.
The Apple Watch will be available in Noel Leeming stores on Queen Street in Downtown Auckland, on the North Shore at Wairau Park and at the Tory Street store in Wellington. The watches will go on sale at 8 am on Friday.
Noel Leeming says interested customers can make an appointment to try on the watches. The company warns there will be a long wait if you decide to just walk in.
Prices are as follows:
Apple Watch: $949 to $1949
Apple Watch Sport: $599 to $699
Apple Watch Edition: $17,500 to $30,000
If you are wanting to purchase the Apple Watch Edition, you will need to head to the Apple online store as Noel Leeming will not be supplying this model.
The Apple Watch was released elsewhere back in April, and consumers and retailers have been eagerly awaiting a New Zealand release date.
Users will need to have an iPhone to be able to pair the Apple Watch and use the watch’s many functions. Only iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6 Plus are compatible.
