Saturday, July 4 was the day two young girls shaved for a cure in Northland.
Genie Blasingame and Zoe Robinson shaved their beautiful long hair for the Shave For A Cure charity, which is a donation campaign which is done every year to help raise funds for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC).
So far the girls have raised just over $5000, and still counting.
LBC is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families living with a blood cancer or a related blood condition. LBC receives no Government funding.
With the help of donations and fundraisers they can continue to fund their core services – patient support programmes, research, information, awareness, and advocacy.
