
Armed police were called to the Auckland inner city area last night, after reports from witnesses about an assault.
Police were dispatched to Lorne Street after complaints of two people attacking a third person, with unconfirmed reports that the two alleged offenders were armed.
Police confirm that two people were injured in the assault and that the incident was the result of a dispute over personal items.
Twitter was active with varied reports that police cordoned off areas of Lorne Street, including access to The Precinct apartment building, as well as personal accounts of the incident.

No arrests were made. Police remained at the scene last night as investigations continue.
