Student journalist Emily Patrick took to a busy Auckland bar to gauge public opinion on changing the New Zealand flag.
The first of two referendums was held in 2015 and a second one will be held in 2016. The first determined the preferred alternative flag and the second will decide whether New Zealand should adopt it.
Reception of the process has been extremely critical.
