Glass fell from a high-rise building and smashed onto a footpath in central Auckland this morning.

The glass smashed onto the footpath of a building in the CBD in the city’s Waterloo Quadrant at around 9:30 this morning. It is believed the glass fell from the thirteenth story. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

A police officer is reported as saying that glass was possibly still falling from the building.

Emergency services have closed off the area as a precaution.
