A bag was stolen outside a Northcote property on Easter Sunday afternoon.
The owner of the bag, Anselma Cortes, was visiting her friend when the incident occurred.
Cortes reported to Takapuna police station that her car was parked on Raleigh Road, Northcote, at around midnight. Wen she went out to her car, she realised that her bag was missing.
The forty-year-old said she had accidentally left her front car window open.
While checking and canceling her bank cards this morning, Cortes found out that her pay wave card was swiped at Quay Mobil for $50 worth of gas.
Police are investigating.
