Tauranga Video Store Robbed

Two men are wanted over an aggravated robbery at a video store in Tauranga, in which one of the offenders was wielding a machete.

Local police reported that the incident happened at 7:35pm on Tuesday at a United Video store on Fraser Street.

Detective Kevin Shields said that only a small sum of money was stolen from the premises.

CCTV images clearly show one of the men wielding a large machete.

A statement made by Detective Shields describes how “police are actively looking for two male offenders, both described as having a solid build”.

One man was wearing a grey hooded top, white running shoes and white gloves at the time of the crime.

The second man was wearing a white scarf over his head and a dark blue puffer jacket, with green camo pants and blue running shoes.
